    Q. What’s your favourite season?
    A. Spring

    Q. What’s your most embarrassing moment in golf?
    A. When I tore my trousers in the Open de Andalucia in 2008. It was in the third round, and I was going quite well at the time. I decided to jump over a water hazard, and when I landed I managed to rip a big hole in the groin area. I didn’t have my waterproofs with me, so I had to play the hole of the back nine with ripped trousers. There were quite a few people watching, so it was all pretty embarrassing. But I suppose at least it kept me cool!

    Q. What’s the best shot you’ve ever hit?
    A. I don’t know if it was my best ever, but one shot that stands out recently was my six iron approach to the 16th green. I needed to pull something out the bag to give me a bit of breathing space, and I flushed it to within about ten feet. I rolled in the birdie putt, and after that I knew I would win as long as I didn’t make any silly mistakes.

    Q. Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met?
    A. Again, I don’t know if it’s the most recent, but I met the guy who plays Hatchet Harry in the film “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”. It was at a boxing night in the east end of London. He was a cool guy.

    Q. What’s the best golf book you’ve ever read?
    A. “The 15th Club,” by Bob Rotella.

    Q. Home cooking or takeaway?
    A. It depends on whether I’m back home with my parents, or in my place in Wimbledon. If I’m back home, my Mum cooks a mean lasagne. But I’m not much of a cook, so I’d probably order a pizza or something.
