Began playing the game aged ten after his father had started a year earlier. Quickly overtook his father and secured his card for The 2011 European Tour courtesy of finishing third at the Qualifying School. Struggled with the step up and was back on the Challenge Tour in 2012, finishing 29th in the Rankings before earning another bite of the cherry on The European Tour by taking the 13th card at the Qualifying School Final Stage. Played junior and amateur golf with Mikko Ilonen who he will join on Tour. Always uses the same green markers whenever plays. Enjoys cooking and is a burgeoning wine buff.
