Claimed his maiden Challenge Tour title in the 2012 ALLIANZ Open de Lyon, en route to securing his return to The European Tour via tenth place in the Rankings. Rounded off an impressively consistent season with joint seventh place at the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final, having also finished tied sixth in the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity on The European Tour. Played his rookie season on The European Tour in 2009 after coming through the 2008 Qualifying School, but finished 168th in The Race to Dubai to return to the Challenge Tour. Was the Scottish PGA’s Number One player in 2008 after winning a record five Order of Merit tournaments on the Tartan Tour. Went on to win the Great Britain and Ireland PGA ‘Play-Off’ series that sees the PGA’s best players from each region go head-to-head to determine who will be crowned the Number One player across Great Britain and Ireland. Learned the game from his great uncle Davie and his father, Hugh, at Whinhill Golf Club in Greenock.
