Biography

Born in Gothenburg, his neighbour introduced him to golf by taking him to see Jesper Parnevik at the then Scandinavian Masters. Turned professional in 2006 and topped the Nordic League in 2007 with four victories. Played two seasons on the Challenge Tour before turning his attention to the Asian Tour, where he was named Rookie of the Year in 2010 after winning twice. Had already clocked up 70 European Tour appearances before earning full status at the Qualifying School in 2014. Made 2015 a year to remember by getting married and making his breakthrough a few months later, defeating Martin Kaymer in a play-off at the Open d'Italia. Finished runner-up at the 2016 BMW PGA Championship en route to a career-best finish of 34th in the Race to Dubai. Cites his fellow Gothenburg native Henrik Stenson as one of his inspirations.
