Attended Georgia State University before turning professional in 2008. He has played in Asia and Europe, and first hit the headlines after shooting a round of 66 on the opening day of The 139th Open Championship, only to be overshadowed by Rory McIlroy, who went three shots lower. Has won three times on the third tier Jamega Pro Golf Tour in the UK, and also won the Egyptian Open in 2009, a year before the event joined the Challenge Tour schedule. Saw off a field which included Europe’s 2010 Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie at the JW Marriott Mirage City Golf Club in the Egyptian capital Cairo, where the windy conditions and links-style layout were similar to his home club, Royal Cinque Ports. Claimed the fifth card at the 2016 Final Stage of Qualifying School to earn a place on the 2017 Race to Dubai.
