Earned a second season on The European Tour having finished a career-best 11th on the Challenge Tour Rankings in 2013, thanks largely to a maiden professional victory in the Swiss Challenge. Also finished in a tie for third at the Bad Griesbach Challenge Tour by Hartl Resort, and had a further three top tens that season. Made just 11 starts in his rookie season on The European Tour in 2013, having taken the 37th and final card at the 2012 Qualifying School Final Stage, and struggled to make an impact. First picked up a golf club at the age of 11, when his grandfather introduced him to the game. Subsequently played a lot with his father, who was a keen golfer, and cites the two men as having the biggest influences on his career. “My father was particularly influential as he would watch me play everywhere when I was an amateur,” he said. Idolised Tiger Woods and turned professional in 2006. Played three seasons on the Alps Tour before moving up to the Challenge Tour, where he finished 80th in the Rankings in 2010 and 32nd the following year. Enjoys films, fine food and socialising with friends when he is not on the golf course.
