Represented England as a youth and was also selected for the England Men’s Elite Squad for three years, playing alongside Paul Waring and David Horsey. Turned professional at the end of 2006 and played on the EDP Tour, finishing sixth in 2007 to miss out on a Challenge Tour card – but returned in 2008 to win the Order of Merit. Struggled with tendonitis throughout 2009, but ended the year in some style by securing his European Tour playing privileges for this season at the Qualifying School – Final Stage, after seeing a career coach. Father was a scratch golfer and uncle a club professional at Torquay Golf Club, and both are now eyeing up the Senior Tour. Given a set of Bernhard Langer Wilson Clubs at the age of seven, and soon became hooked on the game. Also enjoys surfing in Devon, where he still lives.
