The German came of age on the 2016 Road to Oman, claiming his third win of the season at the season-ending NBO Golf Classic Grand Final to take second spot in the Challenge Tour Rankings. This followed victories at the Made in Denmark Challenge and the Volopa Irish Challenge hosted by Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, as he earned a return to the European Tour, having previously come through the Qualifying School Final Stage in 2011, taking the 15th card. Started playing golf aged three and was always intent on completing his education before turning professional. Decided against a scholarship at an American college as he felt joining the paid ranks as soon as possible would be of more benefit. Joined the EPD Tour in 2007 before gaining promotion through the order of merit to the Challenge Tour in 2009. Describes himself as an “activities person” and enjoys going cycling, playing beach volleyball and hanging out with friends when he is off the golf course. Says his golf-playing parents and coach are the biggest influences of his career.
