Played ice hockey, football and golf as a child but started concentrating on the latter when his size hampered his progress in the other two sports. Began playing when his father took him and his brothers to a par three course near their home, and was playing on a full course by the time he was nine. Represented Sweden from the age of 15 and came through the Nordic League in 2010, finishing second in the Order of Merit, then had two full seasons on the Challenge Tour before taking the 15th card at the 2012 Qualifying School Final Stage to earn a rookie season on the European Tour in 2013. Was back on the Challenge Tour in 2014 and 2015, finishing sixth in the Road to Oman Rankings in the latter to earn another shot on the top tier. Took second place in the Foshan Open, the penultimate event of the season, to rise from 21st into the top ten of the Rankings. Still plays ice hockey as a hobby.
