Some better form towards the end of the 2015 season may have come too late to make the top 110 in the Race to Dubai, but it gave him a confidence boost heading to the European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage, where he took the seventh card. The year before he also came through the six-round examination at PGA Catalunya Resort, carding a brilliant 66 on the last day to move up 31 places. Struggled initially with the step up to the European Tour in 2015, but five top 20 finishes in his last eight events, including tied third in the UBS Hong Kong Open, showed progress. Was born in Cape Town and spent the first five years of his life there, before moving to Zimbabwe at the age of five and later relocating to Perth. Was inspired by former European Tour winner and club-mate at Mandurah Country Club, Jarred Moseley, to target a career in Europe after several years playing on the Australian circuit. Enjoyed a successful amateur career in his home country, winning the Australian Junior Championship in 2007 to put his name alongside those of Jason Day and Adam Scott. Like many Antipodeans, he enjoys surfing in his free time.
