Swept the board at the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final, where he took the title with a superb performance and with it was crowned Challenge Tour Number One. Claimed his maiden professional victory earlier in the season, at the Double Tree by Hilton Acaya Open, where he finished eagle, birdie, par to win by one from JB Hansen. Finished third in the English Challenge a week later and tied fifth in the Finnish Challenge the following week, claiming the victory in Italy had given him a new-found confidence. Started playing at the age of five at a golf course in Sweden which was a 15 minute boat ride from the family’s summer house in Norway. Caught the bug quickly and competed regularly in amateur competitions in Norway before furthering his golfing education at the University of Denver in the United States. His sporting career could have taken a different path if he had followed in his mother’s footsteps, as she was a European skiing champion in the 1970s.
