Took to the European Tour like a duck to water with two excellent seasons following graduation from the Challenge Tour in 2013. Sealed his maiden European Tour title by firing seven birdies and a solitary bogey in his final round to claim a four-shot victory at the 2016 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He produced a stunning third round 62 to equal the course record at St Andrews to finish the tournament on 23 under par. Took third place in the Omega European Masters two years running, and was tied fourth in the 2015 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation. Produced a superb run of form late in the 2013 Challenge Tour season. Sat in 46th position in the Rankings with five tournaments left, before a top ten at the Open Blue Green Côtes d'Armor Bretagne was followed by successive tied runner-up finishes in the lucrative Kazakhstan Open and the Foshan Open. He secured his graduation with tied sixth place in the Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final hosted by Al Badia Golf Club, ending the season tenth in the Rankings. Represented England as an amateur and reached the semi-final of the English Amateur Championship in 2011 before being knocked out by eventual winner Steven Brown. Started playing golf aged three at a local par three course, where he was once awarded a mini green jacket for winning a children’s competition. Dreamed of being a European Tour player since watching the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club, 30 minutes from his home in Marlow, numerous times when he was growing up.
