Holed his approach shot to the first hole of the final round at the European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage in November 2015 for an eagle two, and that proved a good omen as he ended the day clutching the 22nd card for the 2016 Race to Dubai. Was a virtual unknown prior to that, but credits his rapid rise to the help of a mental coach. Was a good tennis player as a youngster – helped by his tennis coach father – but picked up golf aged 13 and got down to a scratch handicap in his late teens. Began his FFGOLF training scholarship at 22 and turned professional in early 2013, playing on the Alps Tour for two seasons, graduating to the Challenge Tour through the Order of Merit in 2014. Shares the same coach as compatriots Raphaël Jacquelin and Alex Levy. Admits that he still prefers to watch tennis and rugby on television rather than golf.
