The younger brother of 2017 US Open Champion Brooks Kopeka who, like his older sibling, chose to start his career across the Atlantic on the Challenge Tour. The Floridian first arrived in Europe in 2016, but did not find his feet until 2017. Came close to a maiden professional victory at the Italian Challenge Open by Lyoness that year – but would eventually settle for a share of second place. Teamed up with his brother Brooks in the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2017 – the pair went on to finish tied fifth.
