Made promising starts to the season in 2010 and 2011 but both years tailed off as the campaign wore on. Finished tied second at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic for his best performance of 2011, en route to claiming 75th place in The Race to Dubai. Won for the second time on The European Tour at the 2009 Mercedes-Benz Championship, beating Anders Hansen in a play-off. Prior to winning for the first time in December 2007 had three runner-up finishes, but the breakthrough finally came at the South African Airways Open at Pearl Valley where he delighted home fans by beating Englishman Oliver Wilson by one shot. Has triumphed 12 times on the Sunshine Tour and four times on the Asian Tour.
