Challenge TourGuerrier seals glorious day for French golf
The Road to Oman is the Challenge Tour's season-long Rankings contest, a fiercely fought journey across three continents for a place in the top 15, and European Tour graduation.
The 2017 Road to Oman will consist of 27 tournaments taking place in 21 different countries, mixing historic tournaments such as the Barclays Kenya Open and the Rolex Trophy with newer events in developing golfing nations such as Ras Al Khaimah, Turkey and China, with the season culminating at the crucial NBO Golf Classic Grand Final in the Omani capital of Muscat.
In 2016, Jordan Smith topped the Rankings ahead of Bernd Ritthammer, whose third victory of the season in the season finale at Al Mouj Golf was not quite enough to overtake the Englishman. The duo also shared part of the Road to Oman Bonus Pool, with €60,000 split by the top three in the Rankings, while Smith was awarded an engraved Rolex for winning the Road to Oman overall.
