All You Need To Know

  • The Challenge Tour was first established in 1989.
  • The first winner of the Challenge Tour Rankings was England's Neal Briggs. 
  • Since that first season many of the world's finest players have competed on what is now widely considered to be Europe's top developmental tour: Thomas Bjørn (1995), Justin Rose (1999), Ian Poulter (1999), Henrik Stenson (2000), Louis Oosthuizen (2003), Branden Grace (2007-8), Tommy Fleetwood (2011) and Brooks Koepka (2013).
  • The top 15 in the Road to Ras Al Khaimah at the end of the season all earn promotion to the European Tour.  
  • The winner of the Road to Ras Al Khaimah receives a Silver Salver (first awarded in 2009), and Category 13 Membership of the European Tour.
  • The Road to Ras Al Khaimah is a season-long competition spanning 29 tournaments in 20 countries.

THE 2018 ROAD TO RAS AL KHAIMAH BONUS POOL

The 2018 Road to Ras Al Khaimah Bonus Pool will be divided amongst the leading 3 Players in The Road to Ras AL Khaimah as calculated at the conclusion of (and taking into account the Road to Ras AL Khaimah Rankings money won by players participating in) the 2018 Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final, as set out in the table below.

The Bonus Pool Official Money (€EURO) will be included within the final Road to Ras Al Khaimah Rankings for the 2018 Official Season.

Note: To be eligible for Bonus Pool prize money and the appropriate Road to Ras Al Khaimah Rankings money won, a player must participate in the 2018 Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final, unless he has a Mitigating Circumstance*.
If any player who is ranked in the leading 3 players in The Road to Ras Al Khaimah at the conclusion of the Ras Al Khaimah Challenge Tour Grand Final, is ineligible for the share of the Bonus Pool due to his non-participation in that tournament for a reason which is not a *Mitigating Circumstance, the Bonus Pool prize money and Road to Ras Al Khaimah Rankings money won, that would have otherwise been awarded to such Player will not be awarded to that Player and such Bonus Pool prize money and Road to Ras Al Khaimah Rankings money won will not be re-allocated to any other Players.
