Welshman David Park goes into tomorrow's final round of the Oki Telepizza Challenge in Spain with the narrowest of leads after a third round 72.

It leaves him on nine-under-par 207, a shot clear of Sweden's Ola Eliasson, who posted a 68, but four ahead of third-placed Scot, Greig Hutcheon, who also returned 72.

On another windy day when only five players broke 70, Park experienced his worst round of the week which he described as "very boring, particularly the back nine which was all pars".

He had two birdies and two bogeys going out and said: "It was the toughest day yet because of the wind which swirled around so that you couldn't tell its direction. My long game was good but the putting was disappointing. I'll just go out and play my own game tomorrow and see what happens."

For Park, the 24 year old from Hereford, it will be uncharted waters. He hasn't led a professional tournament before going into the final day so it will be a test of his temperament as well as his game.

Eliasson was one of the few players to play well on a difficult day, running in five birdies. "I only missed three greens and putted well," he said. "But I was very nervous playing the last three holes and I dropped my only shot on the
17th."

He may also find tomorrow taxing as this is his highest position going into the final round.

Hutcheon, the Kent-based Scot, again failed to find any luck on the greens, his two bogeys in a round of 72 coming with three-putts. "Hopefully I'll hole some tomorrow," he said.

Another Swede, Johan Skold, carded the best round of the day with a 67 for 213 but Ryder Cup Spaniard Ignacio Garrido also found the windy conditions difficult and fell back with a 74 for 214.
