When the rain-delayed second round of the Skandia PGA Open was completed at Bokskogen this morning, three players were at the top of the leaderboard, Fredrik Widmark and Johan Annerfelt from Sweden, and England’s Ben Mason, all on eight under par 136.
Widmark, who completed his second round yesterday with 67, was joined by Annerfelt, who had seven birdies in a best-of-the-day 66, while Mason had five birdies in his 70.
The trio is a stroke clear of two more Swedes, Joakim Rask and David Lindqvist, who signed for 69 and 68 respectively, and two ahead of another Swede, Pehr Magnebrant and Christophe Pottier from France.
With most of the leading 36 players involved in the Rolex Trophy in Switzerland, the Skandia PGA Open is dominated by Swedish players with nine in the leading 14 positions.
The cut came at level par 144 with 57 players, including 35 Swedes, surviving for the final two rounds.
