England's Grant Hamerton carded a 63 containing eight birdies to lead after the first round of the PGA of Austria Masters at Eichenheim near Kitzbuhel.
Pyman puts pressure on Hamerton in Kitzbuhel
Grant Hamerton kept his position at the top of the leaderboard at the halfway stage of the PGA of Austria Masters in Kitzbuhel, but he is under pressure from another Englishman, Iain Pyman.
Pyman shoots 61 in Austria to race seven clear
England’s Iain Pyman blitzed his way to a 61 to open a seven-shot lead going into the final round of the PGA of Austria Masters in Kitzbuhel.
Nail-biting victory for Pyman in Kitzbuhel
Iain Pyman held off a late charge from Sweden's Daniel Chopra to win the PGA of Austria Masters by a stroke in Kitzbuhel, his first victory for two years. The 28 year old Englishman returned a closing 73 for 268, 16 under par, one ahead of Chopra, whose eight-birdie 64 left him on 269.
Challenge Tour set to break new ground in Austria
The Challenge Tour breaks new ground this week when it makes its second visit of the year to Austria for the PGA of Austria Masters. Not only will this be the first time Austria has hosted two Challenge Tour events in the same year, but the Challenge Tour will be making its maiden visit to the Golfclub Eichenheim in the famous town of Kitzbuhel.
