King Finishes the Job in Style on a Day of High Drama at Donnington
On a day of intense drama at the Donnington Grove Country Club, England’s Mathew King secured his place among the European Challenge Tour’s elite with a brilliant victory at the Donnington Grove Computacenter English Challenge Open to guarantee himself a seat at European golf’s top table on The 2005 European Tour.
King on Course to be Crowned Donnington Grove Champion
England’s Mathew King put on an outstanding third round display at the Donnington Grove Computacenter English Challenge Open, carding a six under par 66 for a 13 under 203 to move three shots clear of Sweden’s Oskar Bergman and England’s Richard Bland and get to within 18 holes of securing a place on The 2005 European Tour International Schedule.
Bland Ignores the Pressure to Lead at Donnington
England’s Richard Bland produced the form that made him a regular on The European Tour to take control of the Donnington Grove Computacenter English Challenge Open with a second round of five under par 67 to post a halfway total of eight under 136.
Griffiths Produces Brilliant Finish to Lead by One at Donnington Grove
Englishman David Griffiths produced a wonderful finish to fire an outstanding first round of six under par 66 at the Donnington Grove Computacenter English Challenge Open and take a one shot lead from his fellow countrymen Mathew King and Graeme Storm.
