Nyman Still the Man to Beat in Holland
A stunning start to the third round of the Rotterdam International Open left the man who made it – Sweden’s Per G Nyman – the most surprised man in Holland as he set off on what would become a third round of six under par 66 to move into a commanding five shot lead going into the last day at the Golfclub Broekpolder.
It's a Funny Old Game as Nyman Leads in Holland
It may be a cliché normally associated with football, but the term ‘it’s a funny old game’ could not have been more applicable to Per G Nyman’s last seven days in the world of golf. One week ago, the Swede carded an opening round of 82 on the European Challenge Tour, while seven days later he found himself atop the Rotterdam International Open leaderboard after a brilliant seven under par 65 at the Golfclub Broekpolder in The Netherlands.
Challenge Tour Season Enters Final Stage
The European Challenge Tour season is into the final countdown, with just five events remaining on the 2005 Schedule. Starting in The Netherlands at this week's Rotterdam International Open, the Challenge Tour Members will be looking to either consolidate their positions in the top 20 of the Rankings or break into those all important spots that carry the ultimate prize of a place on The 2006 European Tour.
Nyman’s Magic Putter Secures Victory in Rotterdam
Per G Nyman put all of his faith into his magic putter and was rewarded with the Rotterdam International Open after an intense finale saw the Swede win by a single stroke from the Welsh duo of Kyron Sullivan and Craig Williams after sinking a testing 12 foot birdie putt on the 18th green for the title.
Nyman has the Wind in his Sails in Holland
Sweden’s Per G Nyman overcame some gusting, driving winds to remain in pole position at the European Challenge Tour’s Rotterdam International Open, carding a second round of one under par 71 to move to eight under and take a two shot lead from Welshman Kyron Sullivan.
