Alexander the Great Conquers the Rolex Trophy
Alexander Noren closed out his maiden Challenge Tour victory at the Rolex Trophy with a one under par 71 to take the title by three strokes from his fellow countryman Johan Axgren and England’s Gareth Davies.
Noren's Blistering 62 Sees Him Take Control in Switzerland
Sweden’s Alexander Noren stamped his authority all over the European Challenge Tour’s Rolex Trophy with a stunning third round of ten under par 62 to open up a five shot lead at the top of the leaderboard going into the final round at the Golf Club de Géneve.
Axgren Moves into Share of Lead at Rolex Trophy
Although they were separated by the width of the Atlantic Ocean, two Swedes were making significant waves in their respective tournaments in the USA and Europe. While Henrik Stenson – a former winner of the European Challenge Tour Rankings - hustled the world’s best at Medinah, another of his countrymen and the current 2006 Rankings leader, Johan Axgren, had designs on reaching The European Tour.
Prefect Timing by Rey in Rolex Trophy
Argentina’s Hernan Rey got his timing absolutely perfect when he fired an eight under par 64 to take a one stroke lead over England’s Gareth Davies after the first round of the Rolex Trophy at Golf Club de Geneve in Switzerland. Currently 18th on the European Challenge Tour Rankings, Hernan is now aiming to burst into the top ten and secure a precious card for next year’s European Tour.

Cream of Challenge Tour talent assemble in Geneva
The €200,000 Rolex Trophy at Golf Club de Genève will pit the leading 33 players on the Challenge Tour against one another for four days of golf that could have a massive say in the future career paths of those taking part. This point was perfectly illustrated last year when Scotland’s Marc Warren beat Englishman Denny Lucas in a play-off to land the prestigious title and jump into the top ten on the Challenge Tour Rankings for the first time all year.
