Sihwan Kim got off to one of the fastest starts of the final day at the Bad Griesbach Challenge Tour by Hartl Resort as he carded eight birdies in his first 12 holes.

The Korean, who now makes his home in America, posted red numbers on the second, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, ninth, tenth and 12th to haul himself up into a tie for second at 14 under par.

Kim is only a stroke behind Andrea Pavan, who teed off an hour later on the final day, and is now ideally placed to challenge for the title in Bad Griesbach.

Will Besseling shot the best round of the final day so far when he carded a 67 on Sunday to move into a tie for 19th at eight under par overall.

While Ake Nilsson had one of the more adventurous cards of the season, posting just four pars in 18 holes, en route to a four under par round of 68.

The Swede had an impressive ten birdies on the final day, but three bogeys and a triple bogey took the shine off an otherwise superb round, as he finished four under par for 72 holes.
