The European Tour and the European Challenge Tour will help bring to life Bridgestone’s Chase Your Dream, No Matter What campaign in 2017 with the Chase Your Dream Trophy – with club golfers given the chance to win a place in a European Tour Pro-Am, thanks to a partnership between Bridgestone Tyres and England Golf.
Bridgestone, an official International Olympic Committee Partner through to 2024, launched the exciting initiative earlier this week, with the motivational campaign aiming to encourage people of all ages, abilities and passions to find the strength to chase their dream and overcome the obstacles they face on life’s journey.
Three national sporting heroes were revealed as ambassadors, including Ladies European Tour Member and Team GB representative Charley Hull, alongside gold medallists Chris Mears and Daley Thompson.
The Bridgestone Chase Your Dream Trophy is open to England’s best club medal players, with separate competitions for men and women to discover England’s top handicap golfers of the year.
It will take them on a golfing adventure with nine men and nine women qualifying to play in the Challenge Tour Pro-Am at the Bridgestone Challenge at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa from September 7-10.
The top three players will then go on a dream outing with a top Tour player at the Pro-Am of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports from September 28 - October 1.
Nathan Homer, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at the European Tour, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Bridgestone and England Golf to help deliver the Chase Your Dream Trophy and to be part of this fantastic campaign to inspire people at all levels of our sport.
“It is great to see a brand like Bridgestone using the Chase Your Dream campaign across multiple sports to really pull different parts of their audiences together, as well as the golf audiences of the European Tour and England Golf.
“Not only is it an opportunity for regular club golfers to graduate and mix with the leading professionals on the European Tour at the British Masters, a tournament geared as ‘the people’s tournament’, it also allows those to experience life on the Challenge Tour as well.
“We look forward to seeing England Golf’s qualifying players reaching the final stages at the Bridgestone Challenge and ultimately the British Masters, supported by Sky Sports at Close House.”
Bill Sweeney, British Olympic Association CEO, is also delighted that Bridgestone has become a worldwide Olympic partner and is proud to support the Chase Your Dream, No Matter What campaign.
“As we start a new Olympic cycle it’s an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the new Worldwide Olympic Partners,” he said.
“Bridgestone is a globally recognised and successful brand and we are excited and proud to work together on their Chase Your Dream, No Matter What campaign.
“Our role in helping the nation’s best Olympic athletes realise their dreams resonates with so many of the stories around the Olympic Games as athletes strive to reach their personal goals and provide inspiration for anyone with their own goals and aspirations.”
