TOURNAMENT HISTORY

The Challenge de España celebrates its 20th anniversary this year following its first appearance on the Challenge Tour International Schedule in 1999 where Spaniard Carl Suneson won the maiden event. In 2016, Nicolo Ravano made history by becoming the second player in Challenge Tour history to card a round of 59 at Tecina Golf.

The Challenge de España returns to Izki Golf for the third consecutive year, where Oscar Lengden and Victor Perez won in 2018 and 2017 respectively. The northern Spain venue previously hosted the event in 2003 and 2004.
