Our Championship Course has been designed with great expectations. To host a European Challenge Tour event is our first dream come true since the completion of the course.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, Terre dei Consoli is Italy’s newest golf course.
It is technically challenging, with bunkers and water in play, and occasionally gusting winds from the north and playing over 7,600 yards. The opening hole, a 660 yards’ dogleg right, with a huge lake on the right side and deep ditch situated in front of the green.
Robert Trent Jones Jr. knows all about championship golf (recently the US Open was played at Chambers Bay, one of the courses designed by Bob), so short and drivable holes, island greens, water, bunkers and nature are all part of the game.
The closing stretch of holes are very challenging, starting with the long par 4 15th with out of bounds on the left hand side, bunkers on the right and a two-level green protected by a creek in front and a lake on the right.
Hole 17, the course’s signature hole, is a short par 3, with an island green, surrounded only by water.
Located in the beautiful valley of Monterosi, surround by immaculate nature, Terre dei Consoli offers players the possibility to test themselves on a unique course with 27 holes. An 18-hole Championship Course and a 9-hole Family Course. The Championship Course is very technical and has been designed to host the world’s top players and tournaments.
The residential park is located in the middle of a ‘lakes system’ and nearby you can enjoy the beautiful volcanic lakes of Monterosi, Martignano and Vico.
Within 5 minutes you can reach the famous Bracciano Lake, where you’ll find plenty of medieval villages and the magnificent 'Odescalchi Castle of Bracciano' where celebrities such as Tom Cruise have married in the past years. The entire region is renowned for its culinary delights and its tranquil, magic atmosphere.
Here the “local” spirit is very well alive. The villages located in the surrounding areas are rich in tradition of culture and festivals, celebrations, events, markets and sightseeing tours are not unusual.
Guests can carry out many activities especially outdoors, with a mild climate year-round: horseback riding at local clubs; horse and walk trails; golf (3 of Italy’s top course reachable in 10 minutes); sailing, windsurf, kayak, fishing (at local lakes).
All of this lies just a few kilometres from Rome, home of the Ryder Cup 2022 with the Leonardo da Vinci international airport and the cruise port of Civitavecchia also close by.
