Leading European Seniors Tour professionals Bob Cameron and Kevin Spurgeon gave their official endorsement to the new Hill Billy Compact Plus powered golf trolley during the product launch at Wentworth Club in Surrey.
Billed as one of the lightest trolleys on the market, the Compact Plus comes with a powerful 175 watt motor and weighs just 8.5kg (without battery), making it both easy to transport and handle. Other features to note include Hill Billy’s exclusive one piece, lightweight sports wheels that minimise water ingress, a battery bag and a universal clamping bag stay.
Andy Stubbs, Managing Director of the European Seniors Tour, who was present at the product launch along with Cameron, Spurgeon and prominent members from the golfing media, said: “We are delighted to help Hill Billy raise the profile of their brand and product through their association with the European Seniors Tour.
“Hill Billy products have become very much part of our tournament experience. Their top-quality powered golf trolleys are used on the course to carry small scoreboards while in the tented village the Hill Billy exhibition stand is a popular resource for spectators. Our players have welcomed the association and are able to benefit through the provision of complimentary trolleys.
“Hill Billy expressed their commitment to this relationship by signing a three year contract in 2005 and we are looking forward to working with them during what we anticipate will be an exciting time for the European Seniors Tour with the impending 50th birthdays of Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle and Ian Woosnam.”
