Jean-Francois Lucquin of France is poised to secure his maiden Challenge Tour victory in the Panalpina Banque Commerciale du Maroc after England's Iain Pyman spilled three shots in the final six holes in Rabat. Lucquin carded a third round 71 for 214, five under par, two clear of Pyman, who signed for 74 after being neck-and-neck with the young Frenchman after 12 holes of a rain-plagued day.

England's Iain Pyman was amazed to find himself leading the Panalpina Banque Commerciale du Maroc Classic at the halfway stage in Rabat. The 29 year old carded a second 71 for four under par 142, a shot clear of Irishman Peter Lawrie and Jean-Francois Lucquin from France, both of whom returned 69.

A day of unseasonable weather in Rabat with frequent heavy downpours brought a stop-start opening round to the Panalpina Banque Commerciale du Maroc Classic. Just over half the field completed their rounds leaving two Englishmen, Iain Pyman and James Hepworth, on top of the leaderboard after posting two under par 71s.
