Two victories in 2008 marked the return to the top of the game for the Ulsterman. His win in the BMW Asian Open was his first title in nearly five years and he followed that up with a second triumph in The KLM Open. Could not quite recapture that form in 2009, and agonisingly missed out on the season-ending Dubai World Championship by one spot after finishing 61st in the inaugural Race to Dubai.
