Adidas puremotion (EuropeanTour)
Adidas puremotion (EuropeanTour)
adidas Golf, an industry leader in footwear innovation and performance technologies, is proud to announce two athletic performance shoes – puremotion and crossflex. Each shoe is designed to provide maximum flexibility and increased comfort on and off the golf course. Extremely lightweight, both styles help your performance round after round.

puremotion Footwear
New Spikeless Footwear Promotes Ultimate Freedom and Control Through Natural Stability
adidas Golf, unveils puremotion footwear, a natural movement golf shoe designed to increase flexibility and provide extreme comfort both on and off the course.
Inspired by the concept of barefoot training, which has always been a part of golf, the engineering behind puremotion brings the foot into closer contact with the ground while also providing necessary traction, lightweight support, waterproof protection and freedom of movement needed to perform.
“With puremotion, golfers at any level will get the best of both worlds,” says Bill Price, VP adidas Golf Global Footwear. “It gives you natural motion and stability without restriction. It’s a shoe that forces you to find your own balance and tempo while improving your awareness of the ground and how it relates to your swing.”
Weighing in at 11.5 ounces, puremotion is incredibly light. An anti-wicking mesh upper provides both breathability and waterproof protection while an abrasion-resistant outsole provides green-friendly spikeless traction, comfort and off-course versatility. Built on a barefoot last, puremotion’s unique oblique web-shaped forefoot allows the toes to naturally spread out during the swing to promote better stability and increased flexibility. There is also a reduced heel lift which helps to align the spine with the body and improve posture.
In the ever-evolving world of golf footwear, understanding how to maximise stability through natural movement is something adidas Golf has long been researching, along with the help of 2011 PGA Teacher of the Year, Mike Malaska. “Giving the foot the most opportunity to sense proper balance and motion, and have the body react correctly is key to performance,” said Malaska. “adidas Golf’s puremotion shoe allows the foot to move in the way it’s supposed to, so you get the most out of your performance.”

puremotion is offered in medium width, carries a two-year waterproof warranty, and is available in a choice of two colourways:  White/Metallic Silver/Satellite & Black/Black/Red. Available at retail on 15 August, 2012 with an RRP of 109 Euros.

crossflex Footwear
Lightweight, Athletic Style Performance and Comfort Through Geometry
adidas Golf, is launching crossflex footwear, an ultra-lightweight athletic shoe (10.6 ounces) for the active golfer. Created for golfers who want style, breathable performance, flexibility and extreme comfort, crossflex looks and feels more like a running shoe than a traditional golf shoe. Built on a running last with spikeless, geometric outsole this innovative shoe delivers cushioning and performance that transitions easily from the golf course to the street.
“Lightweight footwear is dominating the industry and the natural performance trend has made its way into golf,” said Bill Price, VP of adidas Golf footwear. “With crossflex, you have long-lasting cushioning on and off the course with the advanced performance and style to be the next step in revolutionising the way golfers approach the game.”
The outsole consists of 96 strategically-placed triangular traction lugs which sit on 16 flexible hexagonal pods, allowing the foot to move freely while providing multi-directional support and grip. Each opposing triangular shape was engineered with unique physical properties that engage and adapt to varying ground surfaces to provide stability and traction where it’s needed most.   Connecting each pod throughout the outsole are flex channels designed to increase energy return step after step. The result is increased traction and reduced fatigue through geometry.
A waterproof mesh upper features medial and lateral engineered stitching, an internal gusset that secures the foot, and a lightweight TPU toe-shield for enhanced stability and durability.
crossflex is offered in medium width, carries a ClimaProof® two-year waterproof warranty, and is available in a choice of two colourways:  White/Black/Red & Black/Black/Slime.

Available at retail on 15 August, 2012 with an RRP of 99 Euros
