FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, continues to showcase its dominance across all levels of the game following the recent announcement of the shoe and glove counts at three of Amateur golf’s most prestigious and historic tournaments; The British Amateur Championship, US Amateur Championship and British Boys Championship. 

The renowned Royal Troon Golf Club, played host to this year’s British Amateur Championship as golf’s most promising young superstars convened on the Ayrshire coastline to compete for the most iconic trophy outside the professional ranks. In both the official shoe and glove counts, FootJoy prevailed as the overwhelming brand of choice, with 185 (64%) of a 288 strong field opting for the all-round comfort, performance and style of the market-leading brand’s array of golf shoes in their quest for victory. The glove counts were once again topped by FootJoy as 113 (29%) trusted the outstanding feel and grip of its extensive product portfolio.

Last week’s US Amateur Championship, played at the Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver, Colorado proved to be every bit as successful for FootJoy, as 182 players (58%) out of a field of 312 put their faith in a selection of FootJoy golf shoes, compared to the nearest competing brand’s 20%. The glove counts were also strong as 121 competitors (38%) relied on the performance excellence of FJ’s extensive gloves range. 

The 86th Boys Amateur Championship at Notts (Hollinwell) Golf Club saw the finest Under 18 golfers from around the globe compete to have their name etched on the prestigious trophy. Sporting a pair of FJ ICON golf shoes on his way to the title, the eventual winner led a field dominated by FJ enthusiasts.

Out of a field of 252 competitors, 180 (71%) chose to walk the fairways of one of the UK’s finest golf courses in a variety of FJ’s market-leading golf shoes. In the glove category, 111 players (44%) trusted the unrivalled comfort and grip of FJ’s superior products.
