FootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, celebrated the success of brand ambassador Louis Oosthuizen as he recorded his first win of 2013 at the Volvo Golf Champions on home soil in dramatic fashion. The South African fired a spectacular final round of 66 to claw back a five shot deficit to eventually win by one shot and lift the title at the Durban Country Club. In his last eight starts, Oosthuizen has had seven top-ten finishes and after collecting his €350,000 winner’s cheque in Durban, the 2010 Open Champion has elevated himself to a career-high fourth in the Official World Golf Rankings, and second place in the 2013 Race to Dubai standings.

The South African trusted the reliability and consistent performance of FJ DryJoys Tour as well as the unrivalled performance and fit of the FJ SciFlex glove to fire six birdies in the first 11 holes on the final day to record the sixth European Tour title of his illustrious career. The market leading brand has been able to build on the dominant tour counts of  2012 on the European Tour, with 61% of European Tour players choosing the comfort and stability of FootJoy shoes, compared to just 16% for its nearest competitor in 2012. This week 58% of the field in Durban trusted FootJoy shoes, compared to only 18% for its nearest competitor.
