Titleist Chart (EuropeanTour)
Titleist Chart (EuropeanTour)
Titleist, the #1 Ball in Golf, was the choice of the world’s leading amateurs in 2012 as the legendary Pro V1 franchise helped Titleist top the ball counts at the British Amateur, U.S. Amateur and British Boys Amateur Championships. Following the example set by the world’s leading players, including 2012 Major champions and Titleist Brand Ambassadors, Rory McIlroy and Webb Simpson, the overwhelming majority of the field at each high profile tournament put their trust in the precision and control of Titleist’s market leading golf ball range. The superior performance of Titleist equipment was also highlighted as Titleist topped the counts for every major equipment category at each of the most prestigious individual events in amateur golf.

Titleist’s market leading golf ball range, including the Pro V1 and Pro V1x, dominated the counts at the 2012 British Amateur, British Boys and U.S. Amateur Championships, with 77% of the field at the British Amateur, 90% at the British Boys and 82% at the U.S. Amateur putting their trust in the #1 Ball in Golf, compared to 14%, 6% and 9% for the nearest competitors respectively. These figures mirror the impressive counts across worldwide professional tours, where the Pro V1 and Pro V1x have amassed an impressive 112 wins across worldwide professional tours in 2012, compared to 13 for the nearest competitor.

The strength of Titleist’s product line was further highlighted as it was the tee-to-green favourite across every major golf club category at each of the three championships. The unrivalled performance of Titleist drivers helped the brand top the driver counts at each championship, with 40% of the field at the British Amateur, 46% at the British Boys, and 31 % at the U.S. Amateur, playing a Titleist driver. It was a similar story in the counts for fairway metals, hybrids and iron sets, with at least 23% of the field trusting Titleist in each of these categories. The feel and control of Vokey wedges and superior performance of Scotty Cameron putters also saw Titleist top the counts in both of these categories across each of the championships, completing a clean sweep of every major equipment category.

More players putting their trust in Titleist across each of the major product categories at the 2012 British Amateur and U.S. Amateur Championships, as well as the 2012 British Boys Championship continues the momentum Titleist has enjoyed around the world and across every level of the game in 2012. From Titleist Brand Ambassadors across worldwide professional tours to leading PGA Club Professionals and with amateurs at every level of the game, serious golfers continue to put their trust in the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.
