Titleist Brand Ambassador Brett Rumford trusted the playability and performance of Titleist equipment throughout his bag this weekend, coming through a tense play-off to win the European Tour’s Ballantine’s Championship. After closing with a 4-under par 68, Rumford produced a sensational eagle at the first play-off hole to edge Titleist golf ball loyalist Peter Whiteford (Pro V1x) and one other to seal his fourth career European Tour victory. On the PGA Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalists Billy Horschel (Pro V1x) fired a final round 8-under par 64 to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans by one shot. Further victories for Titleist golf ball loyalists on the Champions Tour and Latinoamerica Tour continued Titleist’s winning form across worldwide professional tours amongst the best players in the world.

Rumford trusted Titleist equipment from tee-to-green in South Korea, including the Pro V1x golf ball, 913D2 driver, 913Fd fairway metal, 712U utility irons, CB irons, Vokey Design SM4 pitching and sand wedge, Vokey Design Spin Milled lob wedge and Scotty Cameron Big Sur long putter. After completing his third round with five consecutive birdies, Rumford started his final round in the same stunning form, opening with back-to-back birdies. Despite a double bogey on the 71st hole, Rumford produced a stunning approach to the first play-off hole, before converting a four-foot putt for eagle. Titleist Brand Ambassador Romain Wattel (Pro V1x) finished fourth with fellow Pro V1x loyalist Louis Oosthuizen a shot further back in fifth, as four of the top five finishers relied on the performance of Titleist for their success. The legendary Pro V1 franchise was also the most relied upon golf ball in the 156-player field, with 94 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 22. Titleist also topped the counts for utility clubs, irons and wedges respectively.

On the PGA Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Billy Horschel (Pro V1x) birdied the final hole of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans to edge fellow Pro V1x loyalist D.A. Points and seal his maiden PGA Tour victory. Following three consecutive Top-10 finishes in his past three tournaments Horschel made six straight birdies in the middle of his final round, en route to posting a 19-under par winning total and breaking into the winners’ circle. Horschel’s consistent performances also see him lead the PGA Tour in consecutive cuts made, with 23. Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball in the 156-player field, with 104 players compared to 17 for the nearest competitor. Titleist was also the top choice in the wedge and putter categories respectively.

Elsewhere, in the Champions Tour annual better-ball Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf tournament, Titleist golf ball loyalists Brad Faxon (Pro V1x) and Jeff Sluman (Pro V1) posted a final round 7-under par 65 to claim victory. On the Latinoamerica Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Jose de Jesus Rodriguez came through a sudden death play-off to seal his maiden tour victory at the Roberto de Vicenzo Invitational Copa NEC. These victories take Titleist’s 2013 worldwide golf ball win count to 47 across worldwide professional tours, compared to 11 for the nearest competitor.

A fourth European Tour title for Titleist Brand Ambassador Brett Rumford and further victories around the world, continues to prove that the world’s best players trust the performance of Titleist to deliver success.
