Continuing its run of good news from the pro tours, Nippon Shaft recorded two top-10 finishes at the PGA TOUR’s CIMB Classic at The MINES Resort & Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Meanwhile, the Japan-based shaft-maker also won its second straight LPGA event – the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship in Yang Mei, Taiwan. The Norwegian star who came from behind to win used the company’s N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 steel shafts in her irons to shoot 3-under 69 on the final day to win by three strokes.
In Malaysia, the recent winner of the European Tour’s ISPA HANDA Perth International finished in a two-way tie for second place over the weekend, at 21-under par, one stroke behind the winner. The 14th-ranked player in the world used Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO MODUS3 ST prototype steel shafts in his irons to shoot rounds of 70-65-62-66.
Nippon Shaft also finished in a three-way tie for fourth in the same event. The native of Zimbabwe - who also finished tied for fourth at Perth - used the N.S. PRO MODUS3 ORA prototype steel shafts in his irons. He finished at 19-under par, shooting rounds of 68-65-66-66.
“Nippon Shaft is extremely proud that players at the top of their respective games continue to enjoy success while using our shafts in their irons while playing in the world’s most competitive events,” said Hiro Fukuda, head of sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We also are very pleased to be able to offer these great players a variety of shafts that match their swings.”
Nippon Shaft products are available either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands.
In addition, Nippon Shaft products are available through Shaftology - Nippon Shaft’s dedicated clubfitter network – and through the custom club departments of top club manufacturers.
Nippon Shaft manufactures all of its steel and graphite shafts in a state-of-the-art factory at its headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. The company’s integrated production lines are strictly monitored and controlled with thorough checks conducted responsibly through the entire production process, Fukuda said. As a result, Nippon Shaft is able to control high product quality – from material selection to final testing.
