Andres Romero leads compatriot Angel Cabrera by a single stroke after the third round at the 79th Abierto VISA del Centro presentado por OSDE.

The 28 year old Argentine had extended his lead to six strokes after ten holes, but a bad stretch of four over par between the 11th and 14th suddenly opened the race for the title of the event co-sanctioned by the Tour de las Americas and the local TPG Tour.

Romero's level par 71 kept him eight under for the week, while two-time Major champion Cabrera, four strokes behind at the start of the day, tied Romero at the 16th before bogeying the 17th to shoot 68 and remain in second spot.

Paulo Pinto posted a 68 of his own to claim the solo third and a place on the last group teeing off.
