Paraguay’s Fabrizio Zanotti raced into a four shot halfway lead with a four under par 67 second round at the Stella Artois - Tigo Carlos Franco Invitational 2011.
Following eight pars and a birdie on the front nine, The European Tour Member bogeyed the tenth before a run of birdie-par-birdie-eagle over the next four holes.
At eight under par Zanotti leads by four from Argentina’s Manuel García, who shot 70 earlier in the day.
His countryman Nelson Ledesma, who posted the only bogey-free round on day two, shared the lowest score of the day with Zanotti to advance into a tie for third along with the experienced Argentine trio of Gustavo Acosta, 68, Roberto Cóceres, 69, and Rafael Gómez, 69.
Tournament host Carlos Franco carded an even par 71 to move up and claim a share of 12th spot.
