England’s Brian Davis claimed a share of the lead with a round to play at the Travelers Championship as Padraig Harrington moved into contention.

Three-time Major winner Harrington continued the good form he showed at last week’s US Open Championship as he prepares for the Irish Open at Royal Portrush next week.

The 40 year old had eight birdies in ten holes from the sixth in a third round 65 to move to nine under par, three behind Davis and American Roland Thatcher.

Two-time European Tour winner Davis signed for a 64, six of his seven birdies coming in the first eight holes.

Swedes Robert Karlsson and Fredrik Jacobson are amongst those tied for 11th on eight under par.
