Tickets for a bumper weekend of entertainment in May are now available with the BMW PGA Championship bringing together world-class golf on the course and hit music on the Integro Show Stage.
Hit super-group Mike and the Mechanics will rock the Show Stage, sponsored for the first time this year by insurance broking firm Integro, after the last putt of the day drops on the Saturday, with Tom Chaplin, the lead singer of multi-million record-selling band Keane, bringing proceedings to a fitting end on the Sunday.
A limited number of ‘Twilight Tickets’, permitting access to the closing stages of the third and fourth rounds of the BMW PGA Championship from 16.00hrs and then the concert, after play, in the Championship Village at 17.45hrs, are currently available.
These tickets, costing just £30 on Saturday and Sunday, are limited and available on a first come, first served basis so music fans are encouraged to guarantee their admission now by visiting www.europeantour.com/tickets
or calling 01344 840550.
Advance daily tickets are also available now, representing excellent value at £35 on Thursday or Friday and £45 on Saturday or Sunday. Advance tickets are also available for the Tuesday practice day (£7) and the Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am (£12).
During the tournament, which takes place at Wentworth Club from May 26-29, the Integro Show Stage will also host the traditional Cotter’s Questions, where BBC commentator Andrew Cotter puts golfers and celebrities through their paces with a Q&A session.
Jamie Birkmyre, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship, said: “We are delighted to welcome Integro on board as sponsors of the Show Stage. It’s extremely exciting for the tournament to have Mike and the Mechanics and Tom Chaplin performing live this year, and it promises to make the event better than ever.
“Tickets have been selling like hot cakes for these two gigs, so I would urge people to visit the European Tour website to guarantee being there for what will be a fantastic weekend of golf and music.”
Integro’s James Davies, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the 2016 BMW PGA Championship by sponsoring the Show Stage. It is very exciting to combine our involvement in sport and music at one prestigious event and to celebrate over twenty years of working with the PGA European Tour.”
Further details will be announced shortly on hospitality packages, which will allow spectators to enjoy the show from the new Brasserie and VIP Terrace. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register for priority information.
