The European Tour Qualifying School First Stage event at Saujana Golf & Country Club on September 5-8 has been cancelled.

A decision was taken to remove the Malaysian qualifier from this year’s Q-School schedule after the number of registered participants failed to reach the required minimum.

“It is with great regret that we are cancelling this season’s qualifying event at Saujana,” said Qualifying School Director Mike Stewart.

“We will continue to work closely with the Asian Tour and will assess our options ahead of next year’s Qualifying School.

“We would like to thank the Asian Tour and everyone at Saujana Golf & Country Club for all their efforts in helping us add this event to our initial 2017 schedule.

“We are working hard to make it as easy as possible for players from around the world to enter the Qualifying School, and with eight other First Stage tournaments this year there are still plenty of opportunities left for all entrants.”
