From agonisingly awkward player-led pranks, to incredible feats of golfing skill, to a heart-warming surprise experience for one young fan, the European Tour's social media team took fans on an entertaining journey in 2017.

January: Awkward Reporter
Filmed on location during the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship pro-am, our rookie reporter was set one simple mission: wind up, confuse and befuddle the great and good of golf.
May: Best Day Ever - BMW PGA Championship
Ahead of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club, we decided to give Aaron a day he would never, ever forget on his ninth birthday. With cameo appearances from none other than an Olympic Gold Medal, the Claret Jug, a multiple Major Champion, plus one very meaty golfer, this truly was the best day ever.
May: Parkour - BMW PGA Championship
Running late? How far would you really go to make a tee time with Thomas Pieters? Ahead of the BMW PGA Championship, we put this to the ultimate test with parkour pioneer Chase Armitage.
June: Magician - Dubai Duty Free Irish Open
Prior to the Irish Open we paired the unique talents of the golfers against the skill of a magician.
July: Left-handed Challenge at the Scottish Open
Apparently, 99.3 per cent of European Tour players are right handed. Not on this particular day.. Ahead of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, we decided to find out with a nearest the pin challenge - with a difference - at the par three 11th at Dundonald Links.
October: Edoardo Molinari's Hole-in-one Challenge
Ahead of the Italian Open we challenged three-time European Tour winner Edoardo Molinari to make a hole-in-one. With a day and 500 balls to play with on a 145-yard par three, could he beat the odds of 2,500-1 and find that one, perfect shot?
November: Fastest Hole Part Two - Turkish Airlines Open
Ahead of the sixth Rolex Series event in Turkey could Team France, beat its own World Record or could Team South Africa or Team England steal their crown? More than ten million people watched the previous record attempt. And this time, the outcome proved even more dramatic.
November: Bad Coaching - Nedbank Golf Challenge
Ahead of the Nedbank Golf Challenge we gave some lucky fans the unique opportunity to have a lesson with some of the best golfers in the world. The only problem? Our players were under strict instructions to do one thing; give the worst golf lessons they possibly could. This was top players pranking real fans with hilarious, ridiculous results.
Two Yard Fairway - DP World Tour Championship
For the final event of the season we took our European Tour pros into the Dubai desert for a test of driving like no other. Armed with just their drivers, could Nicolas Colsaerts, Ross Fisher, Richie Ramsay or Søren Kjeldsen do the impossible and find the Two Yard Fairway?
