Played his way to the 25th card at the Qualifying School Final Stage to earn a return to The European Tour in 2015, at the end of a consistent campaign on the Challenge Tour, where five top ten results saw him finish 23rd on the Rankings. Had previously graduated twice from the second tier, posting a career-best 98th place finish on the European Tour Order of Merit in 2005. Has won four times in his Challenge Tour career, the most recent of which was at the 2012 ECCO Tour Championship hosted by Thomas Bjorn & Mercedes-Benz, en route to eighth place on the Rankings that season. Started playing golf as a six year old under the supervision of his father, Carlo, who was an Italian international for seven years. Won the Italian Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 1994 and is a passionate AC Milan fan.
