Secured his first Senior Tour title since 2011 with victory at the inaugural Sharjah Senior Golf Masters presented by Shurooq in the UAE, beating Gary Marks in a thrilling play-off. Recorded three top ten finishes in the 2016 season, his best result, outright fourth, was at the Acorn Jersey Open. Williams saved his best ‘til last in 2015 as he finished tied for third place in the season ending MCB Tour Championship. One of the Senior Tour’s most consistent players, he was a runner up twice in 2012 and recorded five other top ten finishes to finish sixth on the Order of Merit. Won his maiden Senior Tour title at The Aberdeen Brunei Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum in 2011, carding a sublime seven under par 64 in the final round to win by one stroke. Pushed Boonchu Ruangkit all the way in the race for the John Jacobs Trophy in a remarkably consistent 2010 season, despite not winning. Recorded 12 top ten finishes, the most of any player in 2010, to end the year in second place on the Order of Merit. Shared second place in both the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open and the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship. Was also joint runner-up at Slaley Hall in 2009, en route to ending his rookie season in 19th position on the Order of Merit. Secured a conditional card by finishing 14th at the Senior Tour Qualifying School in 2008. Led the qualifiers from Stage One with a fine five under par 67 at Quinta de Cima to make it through to the Final at Pestana Golf Resort. It capped a fine 2008, which included a share of fifth place in the Joburg Open on The European Tour. Won the Telkom PGA Championship in 2002, 17 years after he first won the title in 1985.
