Those wins helped him to third place on the final 2005 Rankings. A graduate from the US college system where he won five times. Spent four years on the Challenge Tour, climbing the Rankings each time until finally graduating in 2002 by claiming the 14th card. A seven under par 66 in the final round, the best round of the tournament, gave him his maiden Challenge Tour victory in the 2002 Izki Challenge de España but had to wait until the closing weeks of the season before three more top ten finishes secured his place in the top 20. Finished seventh in the Italian Open in 2003, which was played over Garda Golf – the scene of his 2005 Texbond Open victory.
