Despite a fruitless trip to the 2005 Qualifying School, the Englishman enjoyed his best season to date when finishing 44th on the 2006 Order of Merit, highlighted by a third place at the Bendinat London Seniors Masters. That result earned him a spot in the Wentworth Senior Masters for the first time, and laid the foundations for a solid season. Improved even further in 2007, finishing 18th on the Order of Merit after a blistering start to the season. Recorded four top ten finishes in the first half of the year, tying for second place in the Sharp Italian Seniors Open after losing in a play-off and second in the Open de France Senior de Divonne. Turned professional at the age of 48 in order to prepare for the Senior Tour. A successful amateur for 26 years, he played for Warwickshire and won almost every title in the county. Since 1979 he has owned his own business which is involved in golf, including club assembly work. Has been based at Maxstoke Park since the late 1960s.
