Became the first player to take five points from five in the Seve Trophy when he helped Continental Europe defeat Great Britain and Ireland in 2013. Won his fourth European Tour title in dramatic fashion at the ISPS Handa Wales Open in 2013, birdieing the final three holes to finish two shots clear of Peter Uihlein. Previous titles came in Hong Kong in 2009, Portugal in 2008 and Mallorca in 2007. Started playing at the age of four with the encouragement of his golf-loving family. His cousin Nicolas Beaufils has played on the Challenge Tour and another cousin has represented France in equestrianism. Narrowly missed out on keeping his card at the end of the 2005 season but did well enough in his 20 starts in 2006 to regain his playing privileges, finishing 102nd on the Order of Merit. Enjoys the cinema and watching all sports, as well as playing tennis, badminton and squash. Coached by Olivier Leglise near Biarritz.
