Won his first WGC title in the 2013 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, where he defeated compatriot Hunter Mahan 2&1 in the final. Later that year captured the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance on the US PGA Tour. Started playing golf aged 12 when his mother upgraded the family’s country club membership, and he and his father, who was a top tennis player, quickly became hooked. Met wife Sybi, who also excels at tennis, at Georgia Tech, and in 2009 they won the consolation title in the USTA National Husband/Wife Doubles Championship at the ATP Headquarters in Florida. Won the US Amateur Championship in 1997, following three consecutive wins by Tiger Woods, and in 1998 finished 21st in the Masters Tournament and 14th in the US Open Championship.
