The former World Amateur Boys champion hails from the same region as European Tour Members Robert Dinwiddie and Graeme Storm. In only his third appearance, he produced a record-breaking performance to storm to his maiden European Challenge Tour title at the SK Golf Challenge. On the final day at Laurence Golf Club in Lohja, Finland, the 26 year old posted nine birdies for a 13 under par aggregate total to cruise to a six shot winning margin over a field which included European Tour champion Mikko Ilonen. His 63 was to date the lowest final round by a winner on the 2008 European Tour season, comfortably beating the 66s carded by Wil Besseling on the Netherlands, England’s Gary Clark and Argentina’s Estanislao Goya.
