After becoming the first Frenchman to be crowned the Challenge Tour Number One, when he won the 2007 Apulia San Domenico Grand Final to top the Rankings, he came close to capturing a maiden title when he led the Volvo China Open for two rounds before finishing joint second in only his 11th event. That performance went a long way to securing his card for the 2009 season, particularly as he missed the tail end of the season after falling down some stairs and suffering a wrist injury. In his first tournament back after a two-month lay-off he again led at halfway before finishing tied 14th in the South African Open Championship at the end of the year. Hails from Biarritz and, naturally, spends his spare time on the beach or following his hometown rugby team.
